This is how you can find the MAC address for the Retriever device in the network settings.
- While the Retriever is playing its content, click any button on the remote or keyboard.
- This will bring up a menu. Back out by hitting “Home” or “←” on the remote or “Escape” or “Home” on a keyboard.
- You will see a screen with six large buttons with some icons. At the very bottom there is a smaller button with an icon that looks like some sliders or dials.
- Navigate to the settings button by using the arrow keys, then hit “OK” or “Enter” to confirm.
- This will bring up another list of options. Select “System Settings” near the bottom of the list.
- You will then be in the settings menu, click the first choice of “Network & Internet,” then click on the network the device is currently using.
- The Retriever’s MAC Address is listed under “MAC Address.”
- This will change based on what Wi-Fi Module/Dongle is currently plugged into the Retriever or if you are using a wired connection.
If at any time the Retriever Software tries to start playing, simply hit ESC or the Back Arrow ( ← ) to go back to what you were doing.
