Scheduling Heartbeat

Web App

Choose when you want to be notified of offline devices. If you are often turning off or unplugging the Retriever device, and you do not want an automated email notification about the device going offline, here are the steps you can take to stop the “Heartbeat” check of the device on those days.

  1. Navigate to app.retrieverdigitalsignage.com and log in.
  2. Click on “Devices” at the top bar of the screen.
  3. Click on the Retriever that you often power down.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the device settings page, and you will see a section titled “Device Monitoring.”
  5. With the “Monitor Heartbeat” toggle on, you should see a sub-section titled “Monitoring Schedule.” This is where you would uncheck the days that you have the device off as planned.
    • For example, if you turn off the power to the office on the weekends, you would uncheck Saturday and Sunday.
  6. It is recommended that you keep the “Monitor Heartbeat” feature on to help with keeping your Retriever working to the best of its ability.
    • This includes keeping the days you are open or have the device powered on checked.
    • Also, be sure to have at least 2 sequential days marked for best support.
  7. Once you are set with the schedule, hit “Save Changes” below the schedule section to save all Retriever settings.
