Digital Signage

3 Common Mistakes and How to Fix Them

Laura

For any ad campaign, there is a moment where the creators wonder if it will be successful. All the work put into the graphics, copy and distribution makes failure an even more unappealing result! With the Retriever Digital Signage, you can still realize if a campaign isn’t as successful as you had hoped, but you can react quickly and make the necessary changes without the extra costs print ads incur. However, even with this advantage, no one actually wants their campaign to fall flat!

With that in mind, here are three common mistakes and how to avoid them in your own Retriever Digital Signage content!

Mistake #1: Messages are too Wordy.
Simple Fix – Get to the Point! Keep in mind that you only have your viewers’ attention for the length of time they are in front of the screens, so you need to word your slides in a less-is-more manner. Say what you need to say and be done with it. Keep your slides clear and uncluttered, communicating in the most concise manner possible.

Mistake #2: Advertisements aren’t relevant to the audience.
Simple Fix – Know your Viewers! We’ve pointed this out before, but it is imperative that you know the demographics for your main viewers. Do you have college students or families in your waiting area? A higher volume of one gender over the other? College students aren’t really interested in an event that caters to families just as most men won’t care about a seminar on post-partum care. If you want your viewers to respond, make sure they see what they are interested in!

Mistake #3: Bland Promotion
Simple Fix – Go Big or Go Home! Of course, this fix is in accordance with your business model and what is feasible for your company. But keep in mind that if a promotion or sale isn’t really applicable and worth your patrons’ time, they won’t respond. If you don’t have a loyalty program, now might be a prime opportunity to get one started!

The Retriever Digital Signage is an excellent method for increasing the awareness of your patrons and clients to what your company has to offer them, but if you aren’t clear in your communication, you risk missing out on revenue. Be alert and aware of your viewership so you can tailor your slides to pique their interest and bring them back asking for more information or services. Retriever Digital Signage puts the control of your marketing and advertising in your hands – use it to the full potential!
