Easy Does It!

Dave

Why do we pick the things we use? Convenience, cost, looks and then there is the easy factor. I don’t know about you but if I have to choose, I go for ease of use, if it does the job.

Digital signage is no different.

You need to analyze how you plan to use your sign. If you are a small business owner be honest with yourself, how much time you can give to the sign? Most want to spend a minimum of time on this signage and still get great results. If you are a bigger business analyze how much your IT department must get involved. Everyone’s plate is probably already full so don’t be surprised with a lack of enthusiasm.

Look at systems that don’t require a degree in design to build good looking signage. Look for animation backgrounds to help give your sign added impact. Some signs wisely limit the number of words you can put on a line or a single signage screen. Use more that one sign image to tell your story. A series of short messages are more effective than one screen filled with a lot of words.

Consider a sign that allows you to schedule events in the future so that you don’t have to necessarily work with the system everyday. Again, scheduling can get complicated so look for the easy factor.

Digital signage is a good addition to many businesses. It offers a consistent message that people notice when the signage is current and relates to their need. Use the technology of today to grow your business from the inside out. Offer more and get more from the customers you already have, they in turn, will spread the good word.

So, in digital signage look for, Easy Does It.
